I came across this introduction about one self on Neeraj’s weblog. Very nicely written and can be substituted for most of us
Who am I?
I’m an alien and I’m not kidding. That’s how I was referred to by the paper handed over to me by the smiling immigration lady at the airport.
The emails I receive at work refer to me as a contractor to emphasize that only employees are invited to certain special parties.
I am referred to as a developer in my boss’s project plan.
My fellow countrymen (&women) call me a desi.

1So you are “different”, is that such a bad thing? Why do you want to belong, anyway? Reminds me of the central character in Kafka’s The Castle!

2Nilesh,
I was making a point about what someone wrote about himself on his blog. But you bring a very good point “Why do you want to belong” or “the search of context” This question is part of bigger questions like
1. What is the purpose of life?
2. Why do we exist..?
3. Now that I happen to be here on earth and there doesn’t seem to be a purpose what do I do now?
